Inside Interlibrary Loan: Basics for a New Millennium 

Four-week asynchronous course beginning on Monday, April 4, 2022

During this four-week course, registrants will learn to utilize and expand ILL services to keep up with library trends and evolve as library shelving and physical collections diminish. Designed for MLS candidates, MLS graduates, librarians, library administrators, and paraprofessionals this course teaches you everything you need to know about ILL systems, including its surrounding nuts and bolts, regulations, and copyright issues.

The instructor, Debra Lucas-Alfieri, will also introduce you to management software tools, both those created internally as a homegrown option, or as proprietary software platform like ILLiad and Tipasa.

Tools for Locating Primary Sources in Archives and Online

60-minute live webinar scheduled for Wednesday, April 6, 2022

There are dozens and dozens of library resources available to help a librarian or a researcher locate primary sources for historical research. This webinar is aimed at those relatively new to reference work around primary sources and will cover approaches to the reference interview that help focus the discussion, online and print tools to uncover primary sources, and helpful tips for organizing and citing primary sources.

This webinar, presented by Steven Knowlton, is the Librarian for History and African American Studies at Princeton University. In addition to this work guiding students and researchers to primary sources, he has published several award-winning papers based on his own research using archival sources.
